Secure Checkout

Bully Room plans to support safer marketplace transactions through Secure Checkout, a protected payment flow for eligible listings and services. The goal is simple: help buyers and sellers complete transactions with clearer rules, issue reporting, pickup or delivery confirmation, and payment-provider payout controls.

Buyer Protection Marketplace Payouts Not marketed as escrow

How Secure Checkout is expected to work

Secure Checkout is planned as a marketplace payment flow powered by regulated payment providers. Bully Room would not hold money in its own bank account as an escrow agent, and Bully Room is not a bank, money transmitter, broker, veterinarian, insurer, or legal advisor.

1. Buyer paysThe buyer checks out through a supported payment provider for an eligible listing or service.
2. Payment protectedThe transaction enters a protected status while pickup, delivery, or service completion is pending.
3. Proof signalPickup code, QR scan, carrier delivery, appointment completion, or approved evidence starts release timing.
4. Issue windowThe buyer can report a problem during the posted window. Valid disputes pause release for review.
5. Seller payoutIf no issue is reported in time, payout is automatically released according to the posted rules.

Pickup, delivery, and services

Local pickup

For in-person handoff, Secure Checkout can use a private pickup confirmation code or QR code shown only after payment. The seller enters or scans the code at handoff. If the buyer refuses to confirm but does not report a valid issue, the transaction can become eligible for automatic release after the posted pickup window.

Example user-facing rule: “Funds may automatically release if no issue is reported within the posted pickup window.”

Shipping or delivery

For shipped items, Secure Checkout can use tracking, delivery confirmation, time-based release, and issue reporting. If tracking shows delivery and no issue is reported within the posted window, payout can automatically release.

This prevents a buyer from blocking a seller forever while still giving buyers a defined time to report problems.

Services

Grooming, training, boarding, stud services, consultations, and other services can use appointment status, provider completion, buyer issue windows, deposits, and milestone-style releases where supported.

Animal welfare limits

Bully Room may restrict or disable Secure Checkout for certain high-risk listings, prohibited species, illegal transactions, incomplete documentation, suspicious behavior, or categories where off-platform completion is safer or legally required.

Important limitations

  • Secure Checkout is not a guarantee. It reduces risk but cannot eliminate fraud, misrepresentation, chargebacks, animal-health issues, transportation issues, or user misconduct.
  • Bully Room is not the seller. Sellers are responsible for their listings, animal welfare, legal compliance, documentation, delivery, refunds, and taxes.
  • Buyers must inspect and verify. Buyers should review documents, health information, local laws, licensing, pickup conditions, and seller identity before completing a transaction.
  • Payment providers control payment rails. Card networks, banks, processors, app stores, and payment providers may apply their own holds, reversals, disputes, fees, KYC checks, limits, or payout delays.
  • Do not call this escrow. Bully Room intends to use terms such as Secure Checkout, Buyer Protection, Payment Protection, and Marketplace Payouts.
